I’m a 22 year old Lisbon-based journalist. I’ve worked in Portugal’s leading digital newspaper, Observador, and interned in one of the oldest printed publications in the country, Diário de Notícias. After a brief hiatus period where I focused on personal projects and invested in my work as a freelancer, I started working as the main writer and producer on two television shows broadcasted on RTP Internacional (Network Negócios and Filhos da Nação). Later, I moved on to researching and writing for Sociedade Civil, broadcasted daily on RTP2.
I’m interested in civil rights, entrepreneurship, startups, technology, international relations and culture with a big dwell in History and a huge passion for multiplatform projects where I’m able to explore video editing, photography and infographics as a way to make more sense out of a story. I graduated in Journalism from Lisbon’s School of Social Communication and Media Studies in 2016, where I explored every aspect of the news industry and was able to experiment and put to practical test many forms of journalism, including: radio broadcasts, live TV and editing. While finishing my degree, I collaborated for over two years with Portugal’s first online portal, Sapo, in covering music festivals, concerts and cultural events year-round.
